In a recent interview, Marvel Studio’s chief, Kevin Feige, shed some light on the enigmatic post-credit sequence from The Thunderbolts movie and its potential implications for the upcoming series, The Fantastic Four: Early Moves.

What did Kevin Feige say about the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene?

During an interview with Empire Magazine, Feige was inquired about the post-credits scene. In this scene, the newly formed New Avengers discuss their struggle for societal acceptance as they observe a spaceship approaching Earth. Upon closer inspection, it is unveiled that the vessel is none but the Excelsior – a spacecraft belonging to the Fantastic Four.

While Feige did confirm that the vessel resembles the one associated with the group, he playfully hinted that it might not be exactly the same ship as what people have in mind.

As a die-hard fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Fantastic Four in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and it looks like their spacecraft is set to make an appearance! However, when asked about whether this new ship could be the Excelsior, Kevin Feige playfully hinted that we might not want to jump to conclusions just yet.

As a diehard fan, I couldn’t help but jump on the speculation bandwagon about what Marvel boss Feige might have hinted at. The theory that’s buzzing among us fans is that the ship in the post-credits scene could very well be manned by none other than Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom. Yet, it’s still unclear when this scene unfolds, as many of us are also pondering if it’s a sneak peek from 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday.
