Starting from June 14th until the 29th of June, Laila’s online museum, The Museum, is hosting its second real-life exhibition in the vibrant district of Shibuya.

After the acclaimed premiere of their initial show titled “Villa in the Forest,” which was a private event for only 30 attendees, “LA MUSEUM SHIBUYA” is now preparing the second part of its exhibition with a change. The event will continue to be free, but this time, it will be accessible to the general public through the LA MUSEUM app.

For this occasion, we’re shining the light on fashion from the 1980s and beyond, showcasing seminal pieces by influential Japanese designers like Comme des Garçons, Yohji Yamamoto, and Issey Miyake, as well as global legends such as Helmut Lang, John Galliano, Alexander McQueen, and the Antwerp Six.

Some notable features are two uncommon notebooks outlining the creative development for the Spring/Summer ’93 and Fall/Winter ’93-’94 collections, as well as a showing of a video project initially displayed at Lafayette Anticipations in Paris during October 2021. The exhibition will also display Maison Martin Margiela’s designs from his initial launch through ’99, featuring significant items from every season.

The forthcoming show at LA MUSEUM is certain to offer a captivating exploration of fashion’s historical depth, with potential surprises to look forward to as well.
