How to Get & Equip Goblets, Chalices & Urns in Elden Ring Nightreign

In the game Elden Ring Nightreign, Chalices, Goblets, Grails, and Urns serve crucial functions as they are the vessels used within the relic rites system. Players use these vessels to store their relics, each vessel accommodating different relic arrangements. Luckily, Elden Ring Nightreign makes it effortless to switch between these vessels, and this guide will lead you step by step through the process.

During a run, players are not allowed to alter their ships or artifacts. It is essential for them to handle these game aspects when they’re in the Roundtable Hold.

How to Equip Goblets, Chalices, Grails & Urns in Elden Ring Nightreign

Use the Relic Rites Menu

In Elden Ring Nightreign, each character I control initially comes packaged with a basic urn for using relics. Once I step foot at the Relic Rites Altar within Roundtable Hold, I can get started on my relic-wielding journey. However, as I delve deeper into the game, I’ll discover numerous other vessels that offer unique relic configurations. To access these new setups, here’s how to equip them:

1. Locate a vessel in the world of Elden Ring Nightreign.
2. Interact with it and choose the option to ‘Equip Vessel’.
3. The vessel will now be active, allowing me to access its specific relic configurations at the Relic Rites Altar.

  1. In Roundtable Hold, open the map and select “Relic Rites.” Players can open the map by pressing the touch pad on a PlayStation controller, the view button on an Xbox controller, or “m” on a keyboard.
  2. Navigate to the tab for the character with the vessel that is to be equipped. While some vessels can be equipped by all the Nightfarers, that is not the case with the vast majority of them.
  3. Press down (on a controller’s d-pad or on a keyboard) to bring up a list of the vessels that are available to the selected character.
  4. Highlight the vessel you wish to use and press the “OK” input that appears in the bottom-left corner of the screen to equip it.

In Elden Ring Nightreign, following my actions, I discovered that I can attribute relics based on the freshly equipped vessel’s setup. This could mean I can slot in two blue relics and a red one, or maybe the vessel takes one red, one blue, and one yellow relic. No matter the combination, incorporating relics in Elden Ring Nightreign is as straightforward as selecting one of the vessel’s three slots and then confirming the relic I wish to insert.

A Nightfarer can only carry a single vessel at a time. Extra vessels serve as chances for players to alter the Nightfarer’s relic setup, but they don’t enable players to assign more than three relics to a character simultaneously.

How to Get Goblets, Chalices, Grails & Urns in Elden Ring Nightreign

Previously mentioned, each character gets an initial, default container (vessel) right from the start. If players are interested in acquiring more vessels, they have several avenues they can explore:

  1. The Small Jar Bazaar in Roundtable Hold sells a Goblet for each character. Each of those vessels costs 1,200 Murk.
  2. Players can earn a Chalice for each character by working through their Remembrance quests.
  3. As players start defeating Nightlords, they will find a selection of Grails, which can be equipped by all the Nightfarers, at the Small Jar Bazaar.
