In typical Mohanlal fashion, he chose to express his affection with a tender message, penning down “Happy Birthday, Dear Suchi (sic).
Instead, it was the fashionable attire of the Thudarum star that drew users’ attention in the photograph. In this image, Mohanlal and his wife can be seen wearing earthy-colored outfits.
In a casual, laid-back style reminiscent of the bohemian era, the seasoned performer donned a roomy, patterned beige shirt. A beret crafted from the same material completed his ensemble. Additionally, he accessorized with tinted red spectacles and numerous necklaces.

Mohanlal and Suchitra’s love story
The love story of the couple unfolded around their mutual love for movies. At the start of his profession, Mohanlal took on numerous villain roles which captivated the viewers. At first, Suchitra found him unappealing after watching these films. Yet, she eventually understood that his acting was so compelling that it became impossible for her to distinguish the actor from his on-screen characters.
Born in Chennai to renowned Tamil actor and producer K. Balaji and Anandavalli Balaji, who is also well-known within the film industry, Suchitra was immersed in the world of cinema from an early age. As a fan of the charming actor from L2: Empuraan’s romantic films, she began sending him heartfelt letters and greetings. Through a mutual acquaintance, they were eventually introduced, and their friendship quickly blossomed into a strong connection.
Initially unsmitten, she eventually found herself drawn to the Malayalam actor, while he, in time, also started harboring affection towards her following several encounters.
At first, their families disapproved of their plan to marry because they believed there was an astrological incompatibility between them. However, upon further review, it was discovered that the initial reading contained an error, and they were actually perfectly matched according to astrology. The couple tied the knot on April 28, 1988, in a lavish ceremony held in Mohanlal’s hometown.
Today, they have two children: Pranav Mohanlal and Vismaya, an assistant director and writer.
