netflix recently unveiled a sneak peek at the upcoming sequel titled “Another Round with Happy Gilmore“, featuring the much-anticipated comeback of Adam Sandler as the memorable figure, along with several special appearances.
What happens in the Happy Gilmore 2 trailer?
In the trailer, it’s shown that Sandler’s character, Gilmore, is eager to rekindle his passion for golf after a long hiatus. Now, he’s up against some of the top golfers globally, and to regain his former standing, Gilmore must put in a lot of effort.
Happy Gilmore 2 is set to release on July 25, 2025, exclusively on Netflix.

Netflix’s tagline is straightforward and catchy: “Happy Gilmore is back again!” In a sneak peek, we see that Happy hasn’t held a club in ages. Yet, this powerhouse returns to the golf course, where he takes on some of the world’s top professional golfers. Wearing his Boston Bruins jersey, the eccentric golfer aims to reconnect with his inner peace to achieve victory.
In the sequel, some familiar faces from the original cast are returning to work alongside Sandler again. These include Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Christopher McDonald as Shooter McGavin, and Ben Stiller as Hal. Additionally, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio (Bad Bunny), Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Conor Sherry, Ethan Cutkosky, Philip Fine Schneider, Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Travis Kelce, and Blake Clark are also featured in the cast.
In the sequel to Happy Gilmore, a variety of skilled golfers and notable figures such as John Daly, Justin Thomas, Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Paige Spiranac make an appearance.
Kyle Newacheck, the director of Murder Mystery featuring Sandler, is set to lead Happy Gilmore 2. The screenplay for Happy Gilmore 2 will be penned by Tim Herlihy alongside Sandler. Production team includes Sandler, Herlihy, Jack Giarraputo, and Robert Simonds. Additionally, Judit Maull, Kevin Grady, Dennis Dugan, Barry Bernardi, David Bausch, and Dan Bulla are credited as executive producers for the project.
