The movie titled “Kannappa,” featuring Vishnu Manchu as the main character, is set to hit the screens on June 27, 2025. However, prior to its release, there was a buzz in the media after the film’s hard drive mysteriously disappeared. Now, it seems that Vishnu Manchu has hinted that his brother Manoj may be responsible for this incident.
During a press conference in Chennai for the film’s publicity, the actor was questioned about the lost hard drive. In response, he kindly asked the media to refrain from delving too deeply into this issue.
I myself received a message from Vishnu stating that when the VFX-related hard drive was dispatched from Mumbai, it found its way to my father Mohan Babu’s residence in Film Nagar – which is our shared family hub for deliveries. As one of three siblings, we all receive our packages there, and our respective managers pick them up. In accordance with this routine, the hard drive was delivered to our dad’s place. It was given to Raghu and Charitha, but unfortunately, they have been absent since then.
As a devoted admirer putting it in my own words, I find myself compelled to share the turmoil engulfing my beloved family. You see, an unfortunate incident has transpired within our household, something you’re all aware of. We’ve made every effort to reach out to Manoj through mutual friends, but unfortunately, we haven’t managed to get in touch with him. The mystery deepens as we wonder if it was stolen or taken under someone’s instructions. It wasn’t until these attempts failed that we took the step of filing a police report.
Regarding the potential issue of the video being exposed, Vishnu emphasized that there’s a very high likelihood (99%) that they won’t be successful in breaking the password. But should they manage to do so, Vishnu kindly asks viewers to resist watching it.
For those who may not know, it’s been rumored that Vishnu Manchu and his brother Manoj Manchu have had a strained relationship due to Manoj’s past disagreement with their father, the esteemed actor Mohan Babu.
The movie titled Kannappa is rooted in the Hindu mythological tale of Kannappa. This fantasy film is masterfully directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. In the lead role as Kannappa, we have Vishnu, while Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devaraj, Mukesh Rishi, Brahmanandam, and other talented actors lend their talents to crucial roles.
In addition to the main cast, notable appearances are made by stars such as Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal in this film.
