King of the Hill Reboot Release Date Set as Hulu Show Gets First Look

As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve received word straight from Hulu about the upcoming revival of everyone’s favorite animated comedy, “King of the Hill”! They’ve revealed the release date for this long-awaited comeback, and boy, are we in for a treat. To wet our appetites even further, they’ve also unveiled a sneak peek at the show, giving us a glimpse into the Hill family’s world once more. Can’t wait to join them again!

When is the King of the Hill reboot release date?

On August 4, 2025, King of the Hill will make its comeback exclusively on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+. Over a span of 10 episodes, it will grace our screens. During the unveiling, the updated credit sequence was displayed, brimming with fresh details.

In the opening scene, the Hills depart, making room for a fresh neighbor, while Hank and Peggy head back to Arlen, Texas. En route, there are hints that Dale Gribbel might be vying for mayorship, Boomhauer has his own family, and numerous other developments unfold.

As per the summary for Season 14, King of the Hill will resume its storyline following the initial conclusion. After spending years working in Saudi Arabia to save up for their retirement, Hank and Peggy Hill return to find Arlen, Texas transformed, as they rekindle relationships with friends like Dale, Boomhauer, and Bill. Simultaneously, Bobby is flourishing as a chef in Dallas and embracing his 20s alongside old acquaintances Connie, Joseph, and Chane.

Season 14 of King of the Hill is set to feature Mike Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss. However, it remains undecided as to how the show will handle characters such as Luanne (previously voiced by Brittany Murphy), Lucky (Tom Petty), and Dale (Johnny Hardwick), who have all unfortunately passed away since their roles were originally created.

In a new turn of events, the revival of “The King of the Hill” will once more be overseen by Daniels and Judge in their executive producer roles. Notably, Judge himself will lend his voice yet again to the character of Hank Hill. The production of this project is handled by 20th Television Animation and Bandera Entertainment.

The executive producer for this project will be Dustin Davis, who’ll be joined by original producers Michael Rottenberg and Howard Klein from 3 Arts. Notably, Hulu has also approved an animated revival of Fox in the past, as they have already ordered a reboot of Futurama.
