A fresh take on the concept artwork for Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts has surfaced online, offering a new visual style for Lewis Pullman’s portrayal of the Sentry character.
What does Sentry look like in the new Thunderbolts* concept art?
On Instagram, artist Constantine Sekeris recently unveiled preliminary artwork he created for the character Sentry in an upcoming movie. Although John Staub was responsible for the final design, Sekeris shared some of his ideas for the character. His concept sketches bear a resemblance to the ultimate design, but they also show a more streamlined appearance and an illuminated “S” emblem on the character’s belt.

Earlier this month, the movie titled “Marvel Studios’ Thunderbolts” hit the theaters. This film is helmed by Jake Schreier and features Florence Pugh portraying Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov/Taskmaster, Lewis Pullman as Bob Reynolds/Sentry, Geraldine Viswanathan as Mel, Wendell Pierce as Gary, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. Also included in the cast is Hannah John-Kamen.
The synopsis for Thunderbolts states that Marvel Studios brings together an unusual gang of anti-heroes: Yelena Belova, Bucky Barnes, Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and John Walker. These former outlaws, who have fallen out of favor, are drawn into a lethal trap by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine. As they’re compelled to undertake a perilous journey that will make them confront the deepest secrets of their pasts, it remains to be seen whether this chaotic crew will self-destruct or discover redemption and become something greater before time runs out.
Thunderbolts* is currently playing in U.S. theaters.
