Russell Brand pleads not guilty in UK Court

On a Friday at Southwark Crown Court in London, Russell Brand made an appearance, denying all allegations brought against him. Accompanied by his attorney, Oliver Schneider-Sikorsky, the entertainer dressed in a laid-back ensemble of a black blazer and dark jeans was present.

At the point when the allegations were officially stated, Brand stood tall and unequivocally denied all five charges, which involve rape and numerous sexual assault claims. The judge consented to keep Brand’s bail conditions in place until the trial. Following the hearing, Brand briefly expressed gratitude to court personnel before departing.

The accusations against Brand involve four different women and cover incidents occurring between 1999 and 2005. Among the claims are allegations that he inappropriately assaulted a woman in 2001 by forcefully pulling her towards a men’s restroom, and that in 2004, he touched another woman without her permission.

On April 4, authorities filed charges against Brand for rape, oral rape, indecent assault, and two counts of sexual assault. These charges stemmed from an investigation initiated in September 2023 following reports by The Sunday Times and Channel 4 detailing allegations of rape, sexual assault, emotional abuse, and a relationship with a 16-year-old girl made by four women.

The brand has consistently maintained that it has not been involved in any instances of non-consented actions since these accusations arose two years ago. Back in 2025, the comedian issued a statement on social media expressing, “I have never participated in non-consensual acts. I am now afforded the chance to address these claims in court, and I am deeply appreciative for this opportunity.

The court case is set for the 3rd of June, 2026. Before that, we anticipate a preparatory hearing in May of the coming year.
