As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’m thrilled to share that I, Eric Roberts, embarked on a new cinematic journey in 2024 with my debut in Kannada cinema through “My Hero”. Under the visionary direction of Avinash Vijaykumar, this movie was a box office success and had the privilege of featuring the talented Djilali Rez-Kallah prominently. With audiences eagerly anticipating its home release, it’s now available on OTT platforms for all to enjoy from the comfort of their homes.
When and where to watch My Hero
Today, May 30th, my favorite movie, “My Hero,” made its debut on Amazon Prime Video, surprisingly without any prior announcement through their social media channels. Instead, the streaming giant chose to release the film directly onto their platform.
Official trailer and plot My Hero
In my role as a lifestyle guide, I’d like to share insights about a captivating film, starring Eric Roberts, that unfolds in the colorful town of Maheshwar. This tale weaves an extraordinary bond between a young Dalit boy and a mourning American tourist who has recently lost his grandson. Their lives intertwine during challenging periods, serving as a testament to friendship’s transformative power.
As their relationship deepens, the boy courageously confides in the tourist about being exiled from his village in Chikamagaluru after an innocent touch of a sacred idol. In this community, such an act is typically perceived as a transgression due to his caste status, shedding light on deeply ingrained societal norms and prejudices.
Stirred by the boy’s distress, an American chooses to offer aid. With a heart full of sympathy and a dash of wit, he escorts the boy back to his hometown. Upon arrival, he tackles the entrenched caste prejudice that had caused the boy’s estrangement from his family. His daring and non-traditional methods initiate shifts in perception. Gradually, the townsfolk ponder their inflexible views, which becomes the central theme of the film.
Cast and crew of My Hero
In significant parts of the movie, you’ll find Eric Roberts, James Gioia, Djilali Rez Kallah, Ankita Amar, and Niranjan Deshpande. Additionally, Tanuja Krishnappa, Kshitij Pawar, Prakash Belwadi, Dattatreya, and Master Vedic Kushal make up the supporting cast. The creative mind behind this film is Avinash Vijaykumar, who both wrote and directed it.
This movie, brought to you by AV Film Studios, features a mix of both Indian and international filmmakers in its production team. Venus Nagaraj Murthy took charge of the cinematography for the Indian scenes, while Forrest Chiras and Akula Lokesh Babu handled the visuals for the U.S. parts. Gagan Baderiya was responsible for creating, arranging, and producing the film’s music.
