How does Gio’s meeting with Brook Lynn and Dante go in General Hospital?

On May 22 at General Hospital, the narrative took an unexpected turn when Lulu revealed a significant secret to Lois: that Brook Lynn and Dante, not Camilla and Francis Palmieri, are actually Gio’s true parents. Lois pleaded with Lulu to keep quiet about it, but Lulu gave her an ultimatum – either tell the truth tonight, or she would do so herself.

Listening unintentionally, Gio heard the whole conversation and left, feeling devastated. In spite of the anguish, he played his violin on stage and astonished the audience as he dedicated the performance to “the parents who didn’t want me.” He then shattered his instrument before everyone. Brook Lynn urgently sought out Lois in search of clarity. Lois revealed the truth that Gio is indeed her child.

Under the burden of that truth, Brook Lynn felt swamped. When Dante showed up, he probed for explanations. Eventually, Brook Lynn confessed that she had not informed him about the pregnancy because she didn’t want to involve him in a choice she found difficult to make as a frightened young woman.

Dante refused to accept it. He informed Brook Lynn that she’d hidden a crucial secret from him for 22 years. Brook Lynn attempted to justify her actions, claiming she did so to shield him, but Dante countered by saying she had denied him the chance to decide for himself. Both were grappling with understanding the predicament they found themselves in jointly.

In the May 28th episode of General Hospital, Gio attempted to depart from the Quartermaine residence, but Dante intervened. Desperate for an answer, Gio questioned why his mother deserted him. Brook Lynn clarified that she believed her absence would maintain a sense of stability in his life. However, Gio was unconvinced. He asserted that she never truly wanted him and had never even sought him out. This revelation only enraged her, as she acknowledged not wanting to disrupt his world, but this admission only intensified his fury. In response, Gio exited the residence with Emma, visibly upset.
