Aarti Ravi’s father takes legal action against singer Suchitra over defamatory comments: REPORT

The much-discussed divorce between Ravi Mohan and Aarti Ravi has been a hot topic since they announced their separation last year, but the court case is ongoing. Recently, singer Suchitra has faced criticism. A complaint has been filed by Aarti’s father against her for making harmful statements about Aarti in a video.

What are the allegations against Suchitra?

As reported by Asianet News, Aarti Ravi’s father claims that Suchitra’s recent statements were harmful and a significant breach of privacy. The complaint highlights how her videos and social media posts have fueled unwarranted gossip. These, according to him, have tarnished the family’s respected standing in the Tamil film industry for many years.

Aarti’s father stated that the respect due to his family, particularly his wife and daughter, was wrongfully tarnished. Moreover, he voiced worries about sensitive issues being exposed publicly without prior approval.

According to various sources, the person making the complaint is considering taking legal steps using multiple statutes at this time. These include sections such as 79, 294, and 353 from the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as well as sections 66(a) and 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Ravi Mohan files lawsuit against Aarti

Ravi Mohan is suing his former spouse, Aarti Ravi, as well as her mother, Sujatha Vijayakumar, due to statements they made in public which, according to the lawsuit, harmed the actor’s personal and career standing.

As a dedicated follower, I’m being asked to take down any defamatory content I may have shared about the Ponniyin Selvan actor on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and others, as well as across various digital spaces. It’s important to note that this request extends beyond these platforms.
