15 years ago, the narrative of Nimitta Matra unfolds at St. Mary’s Orphanage in Mangaluru. A mysterious figure arrives with a batch of children seeking shelter. Tragically, within days, most of these children succumb to food poisoning. The nun responsible is detained by authorities. Fast forward to modern-day Bengaluru, where a chilling string of murders terrorizes the city.
In the story, Ajaz Malik, who serves as a specialized investigator, is assigned to look into a series of incidents. Simultaneously, journalist Vikram, having overcome his alcohol addiction following the loss of his parents, resumes his job with encouragement from his sister. Tragically, she passes away unexpectedly, pulling Vikram into the case. In the course of events, he encounters Ananya, a friend of his late sister, and discovers a connection between the murders and a past tragedy at an orphanage.
Ajaz and Vikram come to understand that they’ve both been pursuing the same elusive culprit. Together, they join forces to crack this enigma. The movie delves into the way old incidents reappear, tying themselves to the current crimes.

Silver Opera Productions presents and is responsible for the creation of Nimitta Matra, with Roshan D’Souza handling directorial, production, and editing duties. The film features Poornachandra Mysore, Sangeetha Rajeev, and Aravind Kuplikar in prominent roles.
In this production, Sangeetha Rajeev, who additionally co-authored the movie script and its lyrics with Pradyumna Narahalli, is responsible for both composing and performing the music. The film’s dialogues were penned by the director and Pradyumna Narahalli. Simultaneously, Vijay Monteiro manages the cinematography.
