After many discussions about the movie’s future, it appears that Lionsgate has discussed Rush Hour 4 in a meeting scheduled for 2024.

Recently, Jackie Chan had an interview with ScreenRant during the premiere of his new film, Karate Kids: Legends. During this conversation, he shared some exciting updates regarding the long-awaited movie, Rush Hour 4.
As a die-hard fan of the Rush Hour series, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the fourth installment, but truth be told, I’m in the dark about its progress. “I don’t know,” I find myself saying often. “If you want to know the latest, better ask the director, the studio, or the writer. They need to speed things up before Chris Tucker and I turn into centenarians! We don’t want to be old men starring in Rush Hour 4.
In response to the interviewer’s question about the project, Chan enthusiastically agreed and mentioned his preferences for movies. He stated, “Yes! I’d love to work on Shanghai Knights, Shanghai Dawn, Shanghai Noon, and Shanghai Knights again. The scripts are being developed, and I’m looking forward to Rush Hour 4 as well.
In the year 2023, Tucker, who portrays James Carter in the series, hinted at the upcoming project and shared his enthusiasm to collaborate with Chan. He stated, “I might include ‘Rush Hour 4’ in my future projects because I enjoy working with Jackie. However, I’ve got some fresh ideas that I believe you’ll really appreciate. As a gamer, I’ve enjoyed the Rush Hour trilogy, all directed by Brett Ratner. However, it’s unclear if he’ll return for a potential fourth installment due to his departure from Hollywood in 2018, following some serious misconduct allegations against him.
