On the occasion of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao’s 102nd birthday today, May 28, Jr NTR honored his grandfather. Accompanied by his brother Kalyan Ram, they arrived at NTR Ghat in the morning hours. Upon arrival at the venue, the enthusiasm of fans reached a peak as they swarmed around the War 2 actor, hoping to catch a glimpse.
Despite his bodyguard making efforts to control the crowd, Jr NTR’s fans were determinedly persistent. Their fervor was so evident that the actor chose to reciprocate their warmth by greeting them and extending a handshake. In no time at all, the audience eagerly took hold of his hand, holding on firmly, which prompted security personnel to intervene.
In the midst of the bustling energy, I found myself beaming at my devoted fans who had braved the early hours to gather at NTR Ghat. Sharing a moment of deep reverence, my brother and I paid tribute to our late grandfather by offering floral homage. As we prepared to continue our journey, I felt a profound sense of gratitude for their unwavering support and respect for our family’s legacy.

NT Rama Rao, a highly esteemed figure in Indian film and politics, was born on the 28th of May, 1923. He appeared in more than 300 movies, predominantly in Telugu. His performances as Hindu deities such as Krishna, Rama, and Shiva earned him legendary status.
