In the third episode of Apple TV’s sci-fi comedy series ‘Murderbot’, the ending seemed to reveal the culprit behind the demise of the DeltFall team and their security units. When there was no reply from the surveyor team, the PreservationAux unit decided to journey across the planet to uncover what befell DeltFall.

Stepping into my ship, I noticed my security bots were down for the count. Their systems were offline, “deactivated.” My sensors immediately flagged an 87% threat level. Clearly, something was amiss.

The main character suspected that one of the Security Units had turned against its programming and was responsible for the deaths of the other two. However, the concluding scenes revealed a much darker secret hidden deep within.

Who killed DeltFall’s team and its SecUnits in Murderbot Episode 3’s ending?

In the gripping third installment of Apple TV’s Murderbot series, I found myself drawn into the mystery of who had taken out the DeltFall’s Security Units. Upon my arrival, I was met with a chilling sight – the first SecUnit was “offline.” My sensors detected no vital signs, indicating that it was, indeed, “deactivated” and lifeless.

Upon closer examination, Alexander Skarsgård’s character concluded that the crime scene appeared “excessively tidy.” A DeltFall’s SecUnit bot perished in the line of duty, shielding the communication hub, while the remaining two met their end simultaneously during a struggle with each other.

At the conclusion of Episode 3, the main character engages in a battle with one of the injured DeltFall’s Security Units. This unit’s sensor emitted a warning: “Combat override module activated.” It then dawns on our protagonist that an unidentified individual had seized control over DeltFall’s security bot construct, leading to the deadly incident. In the last instant, another unknown Security Unit appears and assaults Murderbot.

According to the initial plot of “The Murderbot Diaries” and “All Systems Red”, it was GrayCris Corporation that terminated the security units of DeltFall. This corporation is engaged in unlawful excavation of alien artifacts, a fact discovered by DeltFall. In response, DeltFall dispatched a robot to eliminate the surveyor team of GrayCris.

Later on, the Preservation Unit, or Murderbot’s own crew, encounters assaults from GrayCris. The corporation is trying to hide the existence of alien artifacts, as they are making illicit profits from the planet’s resources.

As Murderbot and the PreservationAux team pose a threat to the corporation following their discovery of certain confidential information, the corporation eventually sends representatives for talks with them in the novel.
