Are you curious if Netflix’s show “Sirens” will come back for Season 2? The series, featuring Meghann Fahy, Milly Alcock, and Julianne Moore in leading roles, made quite an impact when it first aired, leaving viewers wondering about a possible sequel. As anticipation grows among fans, there’s been lots of chatter about the possibility of a renewal.
Here’s what we know about the future of Sirens and whether a second season is in the works.
Is Sirens Season 2 renewed or canceled by Netflix?
Currently, there’s no confirmation about a second season for the Netflix series “Sirens,” which was initially released as a five-episode limited series on May 22, 2025. The streaming giant hasn’t made any official announcements regarding its renewal or cancellation yet, leaving fans in suspense about its future.
Previously, Netflix prolonged certain series in response to strong audience interest. They recently renewed Beef, Nobody Wants This, and The Four Seasons, even though they were initially marketed as having just one season. A similar fan response might influence the fate of Sirens.
As a gamer, I’d put it this way: In this captivating show, I step into the shoes of Devon, portrayed by Meghann Fahy, while Milly Alcock brings Simone to life. The brilliant Julianne Moore plays Michaela Kell. This series, crafted by Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment, takes us on a journey through the complexities of wealth, trauma, and power hidden within an isolated New England manor. My character, Peter, is played by Kevin Bacon, who eventually leaves Michaela for Simone, adding a twist that keeps me glued to the screen!
In discussing the finale, Fahy stated, “This was the point where these two female characters realized they had misunderstood each other.” She further mentioned that she would welcome the opportunity to explore more tales set within the Sirens universe, even though the series seemed to conclude (as reported by Variety).
As a devoted fan, I can share that Fahy herself admitted we cast members didn’t know the ending while shooting the series. She explained, “I had no clue about the final destination until we were deep into filming.” The finale was shot independently, and it was only then that we discovered Simone would stick with Peter, and Devon would reappear in Buffalo.
The tale ends with a somber boat journey, marked by heartfelt farewells between Devon and Michaela. Notably, Devon’s transformation was highlighted by Fahy, who pointed out, “You can witness an enormous change in her… she departs with greater self-worth than she initially possessed.
Netflix has not provided updates on future development, and no Season 2 is currently in production.
