The lineup for the upcoming “Evil Dead Rise” film is gradually taking shape, as Deadline reports that three new actors have joined the production team.
Who has joined the Evil Dead Burn cast?
Actor Hunter Doohan, well-known for his roles in Wednesday on Netflix and Daredevil: Born Again, is set to appear in an upcoming movie. Additionally, it has been reported by Deadline that Luciane Buchana from The Night Agent and Tandi Wright from Pearl will also be part of this film.
A threesome will team up with Souheila Yacoub for the upcoming film, a project that Sébastien Vaniček will direct and Florent Bernard will pen the script for.
At present, there’s no information available on Evil Dead Burn; however, Vaniček previously hinted to French website Konbini that the movie will be quite disturbing. His aim is to create a movie-going experience that leaves viewers feeling challenged.
As a film enthusiast myself, I shared with the studio that I yearned to create a gritty, impactful movie – one that would challenge viewers. I plan to pour all my darkest emotions into this project, making it therapeutic for me. If my career survives this daring endeavor and I’m still able to craft films, I’ll explore new territories beyond the realm of horror!
Before working on the latest Evil Dead film, Vaniček previously directed and co-wrote (with Bernard) the 2023 horror movie titled Infested.
The movie we’re discussing continues the storyline from Lee Cronin’s Evil Dead Rise, a hit film released in 2023. At present, there’s no information available on an upcoming seventh Evil Dead film that Francis Galluppi is slated to write and direct.
The horror franchise known as “Evil Dead” started in 1981 through Sam Raimi’s initial movie, and it continued with two subsequent installments titled “Evil Dead II” and “Army of Darkness.” There was a temporary break in the series until 2013 when Fede Álvarez brought it back to life with a fresh take on the franchise in another film.
