Kelce humorously expressed that he and heat aren’t compatible, using a playful term to refer to himself as a ‘hairy so-and-so’, during a conversation about the NFL season opener in Brazil. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, aged 35, was noticed working out without a shirt on May 20 alongside Ross Travis and Kumar Ferguson, which led to numerous online responses.

After wrapping up my intense gaming session and workout, I decided to cool down by shedding off my black tee and cap. As it turned out, the photos snapped afterward revealed my natural chest and back hair. This revelation sparked a wave of responses from fellow gamers on Instagram. One enthusiast exclaimed, “I’m genuinely drawn to men with body hair; it’s scorching hot!” Another follower chimed in, “Natural is the way to go, guys.” However, not everyone shared the same sentiment, as one user posted a GIF from Mean Girls, saying, “You can groom yourself now if you want to fit in.
The viral moment wasn’t Travis Kelce’s first time talking about his body hair; in fact, he had already discussed it during one of the earlier episodes of New Heights. His brother Jason Kelce reminisced about how Travis earned the nickname “Big Yeti” because of his extensive body hair. In Jason’s words, “I had the big beard, I had the long hair. I had the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair. It’s just a big ole Yeti out there, man,” Travis explained. The show now offers merchandise branded as “Big Yeti” that features this nickname. Jason told Travis that the weather in São Paulo during September, where the Chiefs are set to play the Chargers, tends to be pleasant and relatively cool. “It seems it won’t be too warm there,” he added.
