Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is the next first-party Xbox game headed to PS5

Currently, not many exclusive games for modern Xbox consoles are available. However, another such title, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, which was developed by Ninja Theory, has been announced as going multiplatform. They revealed on Wednesday that it will be released on PlayStation 5 later in the year.

The following statement was posted to the Senua’s Saga website:

At Ninja Theory, we’ve built a strong legacy of launching games on PlayStation platforms. Our journey began with Heavenly Sword in 2007. If you’re aware of our past, you’ll remember that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice debuted on the PlayStation 4 in 2017. This game was crafted by a dedicated, small team and touched the hearts of countless players like you.

A year ago today, we unveiled the following chapter in Senua’s tale, and we understand that some of you haven’t yet had a chance to immerse yourselves in it. Today, we’re thrilled to disclose that Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II is coming to PlayStation 5 this summer!

When Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is released for PlayStation 5, it will be an upgraded version of the existing game. Players who already own the current PC and Xbox Series X|S versions should expect a complimentary update to incorporate the enhancements from the PS5 edition.

The Great Circle made its debut on Sony consoles around the same time. The remastered version of Gears of War, titled Gears of War: Reloaded, is set to arrive on PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S in August.
