The narrative of Vallamai revolves around Saravanan and his daughter Boomika, who relocate to Chennai with aspirations of a fresh start following Saravanan’s wife’s passing. Unfortunately, their new chapter takes an unfortunate turn when Boomika endures an assault. Despite Saravanan reaching out to the police for assistance, they remain unresponsive and inactive.

Boomika decides to pursue justice personally rather than fleeing, explaining to her father that escape won’t alter anything since people are consistently the same regardless of location. Instead, she opts to face her trauma directly, and Saravanan pledges his continued support. Although he conceals his own suffering to shield her, his commitment to her cause never falters.

After that, the tale unfolds as they diligently pursue the individual behind the crime. Saravanan and Boomika decide to take charge of the investigation, discovering hints and dealing with unexpected turns. They meet various characters such as a doctor and an auto driver who provide valuable information about the case. Along their journey, multiple suspects surface, but their real involvement in the matter remains shrouded in mystery, increasing the suspense throughout the story.
