In the May 19th episode of General Hospital, the simmering conflict between Carly and Nina reaches its boiling point. A spat that initially revolved around words intensifies into a physical altercation, marked by slaps, hair-grabbing, and an intense struggle that even includes a dramatic fall onto the couch. However, this is more than just a typical squabble; it’s a significant disagreement over the future of Willow’s children, Wiley and Amelia.
Who wins Carly and Nina’s catfight on General Hospital?
During the episode, Nina and Carly found themselves in a heated disagreement, but just as their argument was about to escalate, it appeared that Nina held the advantage.
Nina storms into Carly’s home, enraged after learning that Carly arranged a custody hearing without Michael’s awareness. She thought they were collaborating to safeguard Willow and the children from Drew. However, Carly confesses she acted independently, defending her actions by stating she needed to intervene because Willow is still not planning to leave Drew.
Nina accuses Carly of exploiting their partnership as a cover while planning to undermine her, to which Carly responds by saying that Nina doesn’t grasp the essence of motherhood because she wasn’t present for Willow during her upbringing. The disagreement intensifies when Nina strikes Carly, prompting Carly to retaliate with a hit of her own. The altercation between the two women continues until Joss steps in to break it up.
In General Hospital, the altercation between Carly and Nina concludes in a stalemate. Nevertheless, Carly manages to eject Nina from her home with a stern warning. However, Nina refuses to yield, declaring her intention to confront Carly at every turn to safeguard Willow’s children. Subsequently, Nina appears before Willow, sporting a bruise and displaying raw emotions. She reveals that Carly assaulted her and is resolute in her plan to seize the kids.
In the situation where Sonny was trying to delay their meeting because Michael was absent due to a critical injury from an explosion at his penthouse, Willow grew more determined to proceed with the hearing. For those who may not be familiar, this event marked a significant shift in their circumstances.
When Michael was hospitalized and unable to act, Nina and her attorney Martin Grey promptly took action. They discovered a provision in Michael’s will that granted custody of his children to Willow if he ever became incapacitated. Meanwhile, Carly, concerned for the safety of her grandchildren and wary of Drew, covertly initiated an emergency custody hearing without informing Willow or Michael. Eventually, they both collaborated to remove Drew from Willow’s life, but it appears their alliance has fallen apart now.
