In the original version of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,” a total of 10 downloadable content packs were accessible for players eager to delve deeper into the expanses of Cyrodiil. These additional areas offered fresh quests, opportunities for personal housing, and useful items and resources.
In the updated edition, known as “The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered“, every DLC that was originally part of the main game has been included. That means players no longer need to purchase them individually or wait for additional content from the developers. Instead, they can immediately access and enjoy the entire collection without delay. For those eager to start exploring, here are the locations of “all the DLCs in Oblivion Remastered“.
7. The Wizard’s Tower
Also Known As Frostcrag Spire
- Location: Follow the road west from Cheydinal or east from Bruma high into the Jerall Mountains.
Frostcrag Spire is among the secluded destinations featured in the DLC of Oblivion. Navigating its winding mountain paths can take a while during a player’s initial visit. However, once they’ve been there, convenient portals on a balcony adjoining the living area become accessible. These portals are connected to various Mage Guilds across Cyrodiil, making it effortless for players to travel to all major cities.
There are two methods to open the secured door leading into the tower: one way is for the character to pick the moderate-difficulty lock, or they could search around and discover a deserted camp on the mountain’s southern slope where the key has been left behind. Once inside, they will stumble upon a journal that outlines the various amenities within the tower, including its garden and magical instruments, as well as suggestions on how to enhance these elements.
6. The Thieves Den
Dunbarrow Cave, Pirate Hideout

- Location: South of Anvil on the shores of the river.
In this expansion pack, you’ll find a fresh player’s abode together with an immediate questline upon your arrival at the concealed entrance. To access the partially submerged door, you may need to do some shallow swimming. The modest cave leading into it offers a resting spot, equipped with a bedroll for a secure place to rest at night.
The Thieves Den is not just a pirate-themed location; it’s a genuine pirate fortress. It boasts a real pirate ship and a dining area, but here’s the twist: the previous occupants, the forgetful pirates, are now undead and need to be removed by the player. Post-cleanup, players should pay a visit to Dahlia Rackham in Anvil Bay, an NPC exclusive to this DLC expansion. She can help with renovations and crew recruitment – luckily, this time without any skeletal personnel.
5. The Vile Lair
The Comforting Dark Of Deepscorn Hollow

- Location: South of Leyawiin, on the islands near the coastline.
Players of Oblivion Remastered should either use an underwater breathing item or make sure their character is proficient at swimming before attempting to locate the secret underwater entrance to the Vile Lair. It’s submerged near some water-surfaced rocks, and it appears as a small wooden door that might be hard to spot due to its camouflage.
The Vile Lair shares many characteristics with the Wizard’s Tower, both being secluded and hidden from the ordinary world. It boasts unique features such as an inner garden filled with hard-to-find alchemical ingredients and a Font of Renewal, capable of curing a character afflicted by vampirism. This makes it perfect for players who prefer a more ominous setting or those who delight in hunting the game’s monstrous creatures.
4. Shivering Isles
A Date With A Daedra

- Location: Find this bizarre place on an island east of Bravil.
In essence, this DLC lacks the option for player housing, but it’s nonetheless substantial in content. The main attraction is a vast Oblivion realm called the Shivering Isles, which on its own offers approximately 30 hours of gameplay. Therefore, players should be ready to invest some time delving into the intrigues of their favorite Daedric Prince.
In the dominion of Sheogorath, the unpredictable and disorderly Daedric ruler, a Champion is being sought to safeguard his lands during the Greymarch. This yearly occurrence is orchestrated by the Order’s Forces, who systematically destroy everything Sheogorath has constructed on the Isles, compelling him to rebuild anew.
3. The Fighters Stronghold
Safe In Battlehorn Castle

- Location: Follow the road west from Chorrol.
In the world of Oblivion, Frostcrag Spire caters to individuals with magical prowess, while Dunbarrow Cave and Deepscorn Hollow are ideal for those who prefer the shadows. Battlehorn Castle, on the other hand, is a fortress designed for characters skilled in combat. This convenient player home can be found on the western road from Chorrol, hidden among the forested mountain foothills. To claim it, players must fend off attacking marauders and later consult Nilphas Omellian in the Imperial City to acquire upgrades.
In this fortress, you’ll find all the expected amenities such as a dining area, trophy room, armory, and lavish living spaces. There are secret corridors and concealed chambers to explore, one of which houses Lord Jaren’s Journal. This journal guides the new occupant towards the covert resting place of some unwelcome spectral inhabitants.
2. Sundercliff Watch
The Resting Place Of Mehrunes’ Razor

- A fort some ways east of Bravil.
For fans captivated by the Chimer lore, this adventure plunges you into their subterranean realm. Players are tasked with exploring Sundercliff Village, hidden beneath the earth, to uncover Frathen Drothan’s journal. This artifact will guide you on how to access the submerged Ayelid city of Varsa Baalim, concealed beneath Sundercliff Watch.
As a passionate gamer, I can’t help but share my excitement about the challenging dungeon nestled beneath Sundercliff Watch – the very same one that was introduced with the Knights of the Nine expansion. This formidable labyrinth consists of nine intricately designed levels and no less than 23 distinct zones, making it a true test for any adventurer. The legendary Mehunes’ Razor is merely the tip of the treasure trove you’ll find at the end of this daunting journey!
1. Other DLCS
Not All Downloadable Content Includes A Location

The following quests or items are also DLC, but not all of them add new places:
- Knights Of The Nine: An extensive questline was added with this DLC that leads the player through various locations across Cyrodiil, including forts, ruins, and caves, all new locations related to this faction.
- Orrery: Repair and restart a mysterious and ancient machine at the Arcane University in the Imperial City.
- Spell Tomes: Special books that grant magical knowledge are now scattered throughout Cyrodiil.
- Horse Armor: A cosmetic addition, players can help protect their loyal steed for the low price of 500g at the Chestnut Handy Stables outside of the Imperial City.
