This summer, Games Done Quick is all set to perform! This year’s event promises an unmissable spectacle as it delves deeper into recent releases. Among this year’s highlights are two of 2025’s most anticipated games: the massively popular Monster Hunter Wilds and the relatively unknown indie sensation, Blue Prince.
For Summer Games Done Quick 2025, the schedule on Friday includes not just one, but two runs of Monster Hunter Wilds. The initial run will be a two-player Lockout Bingo, a category that has gained popularity with games like Elden Ring. Following this, there will be a four-player Apex Showcase where four players collaborate to attempt taking down one of the toughest Apex monsters in Wilds. On Monday evening, the game Blue Prince will be showcased for a B Quest Bingo run. However, the specifics of B Quest Bingo haven’t been clarified yet; you can expect more details from the GDQ staff before the run commences.
Some other significant games slated for their first appearance at this year’s SGDQ in 2023 include Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (though it was initially scheduled for 2024, we’ll go with it) on Sunday, followed by the premiere of Obsidian’s popular RPG, Avowed. What stands out is that the final run will be an All Chapters marathon of Deltarune, which is worth mentioning because chapters 3 and 4 are yet to be officially released, with their arrival scheduled for June alongside the Nintendo Switch 2.
Additional aspects to keep an eye on include the conventional segment of “Silly Games Done Quick,” showcasing the Super Nintendo’s unconventional title, Shaq Fu. The traditional Super Metroid run has been moved to Thursday. A relay race for Super Mario Maker 2 is scheduled for Friday afternoon. Lastly, Saturday will offer runs for Celeste, Super Mario 64, and a series of Spelunky events.
2025’s Summer Games Done Quick (SGDQ) aims to carry forward its progression and maintain its commitment to fundraising for charity, with all earnings being donated to Doctors Without Borders.
