HBO unveiled the initial promotional clip for the upcoming crime series titled “Task,” featuring Mark Ruffalo in the leading role. This intriguing production is the brainchild of the creative mind behind “Mare of Easttown.
When is Task’s release date?
In September, you can catch the debut of a seven-part series on HBO, featuring Mark Ruffalo in the role of an FBI agent spearheading a task force aimed at halting a series of heists orchestrated by Tom Pelphrey’s character.
In the trailer, both characters’ backgrounds and reasons behind their actions are shown, suggesting that Pelphrey’s character, Robbie, appears to be committing heists as a means of supporting his loved ones financially.

The story unfolds in the working-class neighborhoods of Philadelphia, where an FBI agent (Mark Ruffalo) takes charge of a task force with the mission to halt a series of violent robberies. The mastermind behind these crimes, surprisingly, is a common family man (Tom Pelphrey).
Brad Ingelsby has gained significant recognition for developing the successful HBO crime series Mare of Easttown, debuting in 2021. More recently, he penned the upcoming suspenseful drama Echo Valley, featuring Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney, set to be released on Apple TV+ in June.
