The long-awaited trailer for “Dan Da Dan: Evil Eye,” the opening chapters of Season 2, is now available for viewing. Before its second season premieres in July, these initial three episodes will be shown exclusively in U.S. cinemas on June 6, 2025.

The video showcases Okarun and Momo facing their toughest test yet, battling another formidable foe aiming to seize control over Jiji, Momo’s childhood friend. It hints at some of the series’ most pulse-pounding and exhilarating combat scenes as they tirelessly strive to rescue Jiji from this menacing adversary.

Dan Da Dan Season 2 is produced by animation studio Science SARU (known for The Colors Within and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off), with Fuga Yamashiro directing from a script penned by Hiroshi Seko. This series is touted as an exhilarating blend of action, sci-fi, and horror, infused with the humor of a classic teen romance comedy. The main voice cast includes Shion Wakayama (from Lycoris Recoil) playing Momo, Natsuki Hanae (Demon Slayer’s star) as Okarun, Mayumi Tanaka (One Piece veteran) as Turbo Granny, Ayane Sakura as Aira, Kaito Ishikawa as Jiji, and others. The original soundtrack is by Chainsaw Man’s composer, Kensuke Ushio.

The story revolves around Momo, a high school girl from a family of mediums, and her classmate Okarun, who has an interest in the occult. After Momo saves Okarun from bullying, they begin talking. However, they have a disagreement; Momo believes in ghosts but denies aliens, while Okarun believes in aliens but denies ghosts.

In an attempt to convince each other, Momo visits an abandoned hospital known for UFO sightings and Okarun goes to a haunted tunnel. At these locations, they both encounter strange paranormal activities beyond comprehension. As they struggle with these situations, Momo discovers her hidden powers, and Okarun gains the power of a curse to confront the supernatural entities! Their romantic journey also begins during this time!
