In May of 2025, an enigmatic album called Silent Algorithms unexpectedly appeared on various music streaming services, attributed to Taylor Swift. However, it soon transpired that the album was a fraud and not an authentic Taylor Swift production. It comprises 30 tracks, such as “Amber Ashes Rhapsody,” “Infinite Hourglass,” “Mercury Mirage,” and “Paper Heart Symphony.” Surprisingly, Spotify has yet to take this album down from their platform.
Taylor Swift’s new album confuses fan on Spotify
On May 12, an album titled Silent Algorithms, which was incorrectly attributed to Taylor Swift, appeared on various music platforms, but Spotify has yet to remove it. This situation has left fans perplexed and questioning why the platform hasn’t addressed this issue or taken any action to clarify the matter, as the album still shows Taylor Swift as its uploader.
Users of Tidal Music and Spotify have found an interesting discrepancy: while the album is credited to Taylor Swift, it appears to be uploaded by a different individual sharing her name. The album’s cover art seems AI-generated, and upon first listening, dedicated fans (Swifties) have confirmed that this is not Taylor Swift’s voice.
As I delved into the conversation about the questionable album on Reddit, one fan posted, “I’m guessing this is an AI-generated album designed to deceive people into giving it a listen.” Another user joined in, “Just a heads up for Spotify: sometimes content can be uploaded under the wrong names or accounts with similar names. It’s quite common.
Discussions about Swift’s supposed album, Silent Algorithms, highlight increasing worries over early music releases. Although fans believe Silent Algorithms isn’t a sneak peek of her upcoming Grammy-winning album, it’s been suggested that Swift has encountered issues with unplanned exposures in the past.
In 2024, there was a rumor that the highly-anticipated album by the popular music artist, Tortured Poet’s Department, had been leaked prematurely. This is similar to what happened with Taylor Swift’s Lover album in earlier years, where it was also claimed to have been leaked hours before its official online release.
In the meantime, enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating Taylor Swift’s forthcoming declaration about the launch of Reputation (Taylor’s Version). Known for her hit “Gorgeous,” Swift has hinted that the hidden tracks of the album will be exceptionally good.
Fans speculate that Taylor Swift could make an appearance at the AMAs 2025, potentially unveiling details about her forthcoming musical venture during the event in Las Vegas.
However, for now, it’s unclear when Spotify will respond to the Taylor Swift fake album issue.
