Fans caught a glimpse of Nathan Fillion’s portrayal of Green Lantern, specifically Guy Gardner, in the recently released Superman trailer. Superman trailer teases Nathan Fillion’s Green Lantern powers in DCU

The new Superman trailer, released on May 14, showcased Guy Gardner’s powers as one of its key aspects. Fans were impressed by how accurately his Green Lantern ring was portrayed in action by Gardner.

In a three-minute preview, we find Gardner waving off military personnel and their vehicles with an enormous, emerald-hued hand created from raw energy. This ability aligns with the powers he exhibits in the comic books too.

Furthermore, he additionally constructs an enormous energy barrier using his power ring. Not only does he possess these abilities, but his physical traits, notably his distinctive hairstyle, closely mirror that of Gardner as portrayed in the comic books.

In the next season of Peacemaker, Fillion is set to resume his character of Gardner, who he played in Superman before, and also in Lanterns. Previously, Fillion has described Gardner as a “jerk,” much like his comic book counterpart.

He mentioned, “He’s quite rude! Here’s a key point: It doesn’t take being virtuous to be a Green Lantern; all you need is bravery. So, Guy Gardner is fearless, but he’s not particularly good or kind. This gives me as an actor a lot of freedom because I can ask myself, what’s the most self-centered, self-serving action I could take in this situation? And that’s the solution.

The actor went on to describe his character as excessively self-assured, stating, “If this character had a superpower, I’d say it was his unyielding self-confidence – to the point where he believes he could challenge Superman. But let’s be clear, he couldn’t.
