Rihanna, popularly known as Rih, has recently shared a trailer for her upcoming movie, Smurfs, on Instagram and announced that she’ll be releasing a new track called “Friend of Mine” for the film’s soundtrack. This will be her first song in more than three years.

A renowned world-class actor posted a sneak peek of the movie she co-stars with John Goodman, James Corden, Nick Offerman, and Sandra Oh. She is also a producer of the Smurfs series and announced on social media, “new #SmurfsMovie trailer 🩵 featuring ‘Friend Of Mine’ from the Smurfs soundtrack coming out this Friday. Pre-save it now.” The comments section was filled with enthusiasm from her fans who seem pleased that she’s involved in new music projects. One fan commented, “At least she’s in the studio,” while another said, “We’ll take this as close as we can get, baby.

Rihanna’s latest single, titled ‘Friend of Mine,’ has just been released, making it her first track since ‘Lift Me Up’ in 2022 for the movie ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.’ The song climbed to No. 2 on the Hot 100 and went platinum in 2023. Rihanna hinted at more music during the Met Gala last week, so we can expect new tunes soon. ‘Smurfs’ will be in theaters starting July 18.
