Justin Baldoni‘s legal representatives have asserted that the attorneys for Blake Lively are attempting to blackmail or unjustly demand payment from music sensation Taylor Swift.

What are Justin Baldoni’s lawyers claiming?

According to a recently submitted court document dated Wednesday (as reported by THR), Baldoni’s legal representative, Bryan Freedman, claims that Michael Gottlieb – Lively’s lawyer – contacted the law firm representing Swift, Venable.

As per the letter, Gottlieb threatened to disclose private, personal text messages of Taylor Swift if she did not issue a public statement expressing support for Blake Lively, implying that such support was expected from her.

In his letter, Freedman argued that Swift’s lawyers had responded to the request in at least one communication, which he intends to present in court. He contends that these communications, if released, would demonstrate that Lively’s team is attempting to intimidate a witness in the ongoing legal dispute between Baldoni and Lively, and support this claim.

Regarding the letter, Gottlieb counters that the allegations are “completely unfounded,” and he finds it “underhanded” for Freedman to rely on unidentified sources.

We firmly reject all these unfounded claims that have surfaced anonymously, bearing little resemblance to truth. As we’ve come to notice, this is a typical tactic from the legal team of the Wayfarer parties, who seem more inclined towards hasty accusations without substantial proof, causing unnecessary harm to others. We are preparing to submit motions to the court, aiming to address the misconduct displayed by these lawyers in this case.

The recent exchange marks another chapter in the long-running court case between Baldoni and Lively, a case that’s been filled with numerous changes and updates.
