Netflix has given a green light for eight shows to continue, including two of its highly acclaimed dramas: Keri Russell’s political suspense series, “The Diplomat,” and Shonda Rhimes’ romantic period drama, “Bridgerton.” It was confirmed that the fourth season of “The Diplomat” will be produced before the third season even premieres this autumn. The upcoming season promises to bring back West Wing co-stars Allison Janney and Bradley Whitford, with Whitford joining the cast as the First Gentleman opposite Janney’s President Grace Penn.
Before its Season 4 debut in 2026, the popular series “Bridgerton” has already been renewed for two additional seasons. This means fans will get not one but two more doses of romance and scandal. As Season 4 focuses on Luke Thompson’s character Benedict Bridgerton and Yerin Ha’s Sophie Baek, it is expected that Seasons 5 and 6 would delve into the love stories of Eloise Bridgerton, the fifth child, and Francesca Bridgerton, the sixth child, among the Bridgerton siblings.
