Austin Butler & Jeremy Allen White to Lead A24 Crime Movie From Ari Aster

In a new development, Oscar-nominated actor Austin Butler (from Elvis) and Emmy-winning performer Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) have agreed to take on the principal roles for A24’s forthcoming crime thriller entitled Enemies. This movie will revolve around a tenacious detective and a notorious hitman whose paths cross in a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse.

Who is involved in the Austin Butler & Jeremy Allen White movie?

The movie “Enemies” will be helmed by Henry Dunham, who’s well-versed in the crime genre, having previously directed the 2018 crime thriller “The Standoff at Sparrow Creek.” This upcoming project is being produced by Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen under Square Peg, with Alejandro De Leon also involved. Josh Bachove serves as an executive producer. Filming is set to start this summer in Chicago, with a reported production budget of approximately $25 million.

In this update, White’s newest venture with A24 is highlighted, following his acclaimed performance in the biographical film The Iron Claw. Additionally, he will reprise his character as Carmy Berzatto in the forthcoming fourth season of The Bear. Currently, White is also set to appear in the Bruce Springsteen biopic titled Deliver Me From Nowhere, and in both The Mandalorian and Grogu’s upcoming film.

In these upcoming films, the role of Butler has been cast in the crime thriller “Caught Stealing” alongside Zoe Kravitz. Moreover, he’s part of the ensemble for Aster’s next project with A24, titled “Eddington”. Notably, this Western film also stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone. Both movies are set to hit screens this year.
