Halle Bailey Gets Restraining Order Against Ex Boyfriend DDG

Halle Bailey, known for her role in “The Little Mermaid,” has requested a protective order from her former partner DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.) due to his alleged history of abusive and controlling actions.

After enduring months of what I perceived as physical abuse, emotional manipulation, and constant harassment, it’s no surprise that the court’s decision sheds a distressing light on the true nature of the Twitch streamer’s actions.

Violent Assault And Lasting Trauma

Court records indicate that in January 2025, DDG’s acts of abuse reached an appalling height. During a dispute, it is claimed that he brutally attacked Bailey by pulling her hair and violently thrusting her head into the steering wheel of his car. This attack is said to have resulted in a broken tooth for Bailey and numerous severe bruises. Graphic images were presented as proof in court, showing evidence of DDG’s violent outbursts.

Last March, my actions took a dark turn. I allegedly barged into Bailey’s home without her permission, violating her personal boundaries and sending her a chilling image of her empty bed. A few days after that incident, I found myself back on her property. In an act of vengeance, I wrecked one of her security cameras and stole her phone. Later, in a fit of uncontrollable anger, I tossed the phone out of my car window, yelling “Get it, b*tch”. This isn’t the gamer I want to be.

Danielle suffered an injury to her arm, had her hair tugged, and was forced headfirst into a steering wheel, damaging one of her teeth. He must maintain a distance of 100 yards from her and cease sharing images of their child online.

Online Harassment And Public Smear Campaign

Apart from the actual physical aggression, Bailey asserts that DDG has been tormenting her digitally, disseminating falsehoods through his platform and urging his audience to assail her. This harmful conduct is said to have sparked a series of hateful messages and threats, intensifying the emotional distress Bailey has experienced. For quite some time now, her supporters have been drawing attention to this detrimental behavior.

Protecting Her Son From A Toxic Influence

A court has issued a protective order against DDG, mandating that he maintains a minimum distance of 100 yards from Halle Bailey. This order also allows Halle to temporarily relocate their 18-month-old son, Halo, to Italy for a period of two months this summer, as she is set to film a movie there.

Moreover, the court has forbidden DDG from sharing or broadcasting any material related to Halle or their child. This decision was made following her claims that he instigated his followers to bully her via his live streams.

A short while following TMZ’s announcement, it appeared that DDG was streaming live, feigning surprise about the restraining order, although he is obligated to receive notification prior, suggesting that he had been aware of the situation all along.

Interestingly, discussing Halle on his live stream might unknowingly put him at odds with the restraining order he seems taken aback by.

You understand that it takes quite an unusual mindset to feign ignorance about having a restraining order, especially since such orders are always communicated explicitly.

Using His Baby For Clicks

Halle Bailey has criticized her former partner, DDG, for broadcasting their one-year-old son, Halo, on a Twitch livestream without her approval. In an interaction with streamer Kai Cenat, DDG placed the baby in a Balenciaga bag that is not suitable for infants and moved him around, which has led to criticism online due to safety concerns.

Over the past few months, I’ve been vocalizing my struggles in my live streams, expressing my frustration that my ex, Bailey, won’t allow me to spend time with our son. I’ve been painting her as the antagonist without truly explaining the reasons behind her decisions. Sometimes, I resort to using our child for attention on my streams and making comments about Bailey that may not be entirely fair to my audience.

It’s been suggested that if DDG genuinely cared about his parental responsibilities, he would have pursued a court case for custody rather than involving Bailey on the internet. This action raises suspicion in some people, and it appears their suspicions were justified as it was later discovered there was something to hide.

The Same Old Rhetoric

On social platforms, opinions about the situation have been quite polarized, with backing approximately equally distributed between 50% and 50%. Numerous individuals are siding with Halle, emphasizing that there’s concrete photographic evidence of her injuries, numerous screenshots, and even a restraining order. Obtaining such an order typically requires substantial proof.

If the court rules in his favor, it signifies that there was likely a substantial body of evidence, a lot of which can be found online. It’s also important to mention that one of his former girlfriends, Rubi Rose, has openly discussed his history of abusive actions in the past.

Regardless, some enthusiasts of DDG assert that Halle is fabricating stories in an attempt to damage his reputation or seek recognition, but this notion becomes illogical when one examines the facts. In reality, Halle Bailey is a well-known Disney star with a long-standing career in acting and music.

She’s been showcasing her talents since childhood, graced the screen in a prominent Disney movie, gained endorsement from celebrities like Beyoncé, and boasts significant upcoming ventures. DDG is primarily recognized as a Twitch streamer with aspirations in rap music yet to achieve mainstream recognition. Many people are familiar with him mainly due to his association with Halle, and it’s evident that she’s been attempting to separate herself from him for quite some time now.

A court hearing to finalize the terms of this order is set for June 4th.
