Indeed, let’s talk about the impressive earnings of Kesari 2 at the box office. In just 55 days since its release, it generated nearly 900 million Indian rupees in the country.

In my perspective as a lifestyle expert, I must say that the courtroom drama has garnered a remarkable response, particularly resonating with city-dwellers. Yet, it’s not just the overall narrative that’s captivating; each character’s performance has been meticulously appraised by critics.

On April 18, 2025, Kesari 2 was strategically premiered in cinemas, aligning with the 106th commemoration of the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy, a harrowing event that echoes deeply within India’s fight for independence.

The movie’s script draws significant influence from the book titled “The Case That Shook the Empire,” penned by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat.

The film revolves around the character of C. Sankaran Nair, a knowledgeable lawyer portrayed by Akshay Kumar, who was appointed by the British administration in 1919 to look into the tragic events that occurred at Jallianwala Bagh, where numerous deaths took place.

Instead of writing that while the British government anticipated a report in their favor, Nair submitted extensive reports detailing atrocities following General Dyer’s order to fire upon unarmed citizens attending a peaceful gathering, you could rephrase it as: The British government hoped for a report supporting them, but instead, Nair provided comprehensive documentation of the terrible events that unfolded after General Dyer ordered his troops to shoot at innocent people who had assembled peacefully.
