Currently, the actor is rejoicing over his double victories alongside his producer in a modest gathering. Notable photos circulating online showcase Mohanlal taking part in a unique cake-cutting ceremony, where a two-tiered cake adorned with caricatures of his characters Stephen Nedumpally and Benz are depicted on either side.

As I admired the masterpiece that was this cake, I couldn’t help but notice the impressive box office collections of two films inscribed upon it. L2: Empuraan had surpassed the astounding milestone of Rs 265 crores, while Thudarum showcased its strength with an impressive gross of Rs 200 crores. I can’t help but feel a deep connection to these movies, as they’ve both left an indelible mark on my heart and wallet!
For those unfamiliar, the movie “Empuraan” is a follow-up to the 2019 film “Lucifer”, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. This Malayalam action thriller surpassed many box office records and was eventually labeled as a blockbuster hit.
Conversely, Thudarum is an engaging Malayalam drama that Tharun Moorthy has skillfully directed. Notably, it stars Shobana as the main character, making it one of the film’s key attractions prior to its premiere.
Even though there were considerable setbacks in its initial cinema debut, the movie’s impressive earnings at the box office demonstrated that the delay had been justified.
Indeed, these movies have established unprecedented milestones, not just for Mohanlal personally, but also across the Mollywood film industry.
In the future, the seasoned actor boasts a thrilling roster of upcoming ventures, such as Drishyam 3, Hridayapoorvam, and a yet unnamed project referred to as MMNM, which features Mammootty and Nayanthara as co-stars.
