At long last, Focus Features has set the release date for the family drama “Anemone,” starring Academy Award winner Daniel Day-Lewis. Following almost a decade away from the silver screen, Day-Lewis is making his comeback to acting as he steps into the limelight for his son’s directorial debut on this feature film.
The movie delves into the deep and intricate bonds shared by brothers, fathers, and their sons, as suggested in the plot summary.
Before taking a break from acting, Daniel Day-Lewis appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson’s romantic period film titled Phantom Thread. This role earned him numerous acting nominations in 2017, among them were an Oscar and Golden Globe nod for Best Actor. Besides Phantom Thread, Day-Lewis is renowned for his performances in films like My Left Foot, In the Name of the Father, Gangs of New York, There Will Be Blood, and Lincoln.
When is the Anemone release date?
The film Anemone is set to make its premiere in selected theaters on October 3, with a broader theater release slated for October 10. Apart from Daniel Day-Lewis, the movie boasts an impressive cast that includes Sean Bean known from Game of Thrones, Samantha Morton recognized for her role in The Walking Dead, Samuel Bottomley who gained fame through Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, and Safia Oakley-Green, who starred in Out of Darkness.
This movie was helmed by Ronan Day-Lewis, who jointly penned the script with his father. The crew comprises cinematographer Ben Fordesman, set designer Chris Oddy, casting director Shaheen Baig, and others. It’s a Plan B Entertainment production.
