Nobody 2 Trailer: Bob Odenkirk’s Vacation Gets Very Violent

Universal Pictures has unveiled the official trailer for “Nobody 2,” the eagerly awaited action-packed thriller that’s a follow-up to the 2021 film starring Bob Odenkirk. This new movie is set to hit theaters on August 15th.

Four years following an unexpected encounter with the Russian mafia, Hutch still owes them $30 million and continues to pay off his debt through a series of violent assignments against global criminals. Although he enjoys the thrill of his work, Hutch and his wife Becca are overwhelmed and growing apart due to their excessive workload. In an attempt to reconnect as a family, they decide to take their children on a brief escape to Wild Bill’s Majestic Midway and Waterpark, a place that holds special memories for Hutch since he and his brother Harry once vacationed there as kids. Joined by Hutch’s father, the family heads to the quaint tourist town of Plummerville, eager for some relaxation and enjoyment.

What happens in the Nobody 2 trailer?

In the video, we find Odenkirk reprising his role as Hutch Mansell, a man who constantly finds himself in trouble. After getting back into the hitman business, Hutch has been unable to spend quality time with his loved ones. To change this, he plans an impromptu family trip. However, they end up visiting a location that turns out to be incredibly dangerous. The supporting cast includes Connie Nielsen, John Ortiz, RZA, Colin Hanks, with Christopher Lloyd and Sharon Stone.

The sequel to “Nobody” is helmed by Indonesian director Timo Tjahjanto, who collaborated with screenwriters Derek Kolstad (creator of the John Wick series), Aaron Rabin, and Umair Aleem on the script. Production companies involved are 87North, led by Kelly McCormick and David Leitch; Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, spearheaded by Bryan Cranston himself and Marc Provissiero; and Eighty Two Films, headed by Braden Aftergood. The original movie had a successful run in theaters, garnering positive feedback from critics and grossing more than $57 million globally against an estimated budget of approximately $16 million.
