F1 Trailer: Brad Pitt Must Learn to Be a Team Player

I’m thrilled to share that Warner Bros. has unveiled the official trailer for their highly anticipated sports action drama, titled “F1”. In this exhilarating saga, I can hardly wait to see the exceptional talent of Academy Award-winning actor Brad Pitt as Sonny Hayes.

The film is set to premiere in cinemas on June 27, 2025, going head-to-head with Blumhouse’s M3GAN 2.0 horror sequel at the box office. Notably, it will also release alongside other highly anticipated films like John Wick’s spinoff Ballerina, The Life of Chuck, How to Train Your Dragon (new installment), Materialists, and a reboot titled 28 Years Later.

What happens in the F1 trailer?

In the movie, Pitt’s character is given a fresh opportunity to make amends in Formula One racing. However, he encounters difficulties in collaborating with others because of his complicated history, which makes it hard for him to fit into the team. The film will star Damson Idris as Joshua Pearce, Kerry Condon as Kate, Tobias Menzies as Banning, Javier Bardem as Ruben, Kim Bodnia as Kaspar, Shea Whigham as Chip, Sarah Niles as Bernadette, and additional cast members.

Movie F1 is helmed by the director of Top Gun: Maverick, Joseph Kosinski, who has written the script in collaboration with Ehren Kruger. The film’s cast will also feature actual Formula One racers like Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz Jr., and others. Apart from Kosinski, Brad Pitt is involved as a producer alongside Jerry Bruckheimer, Lewis Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Chad Omen. Daniel Lupi will serve as an executive producer in this project.

Titled “The Unfulfilled Champion,” the movie’s plot revolves around Sonny Hayes, once hailed as Formula One’s most promising prodigy of the 1990s. A near-fatal accident on the track almost halted his racing career, and now, three decades later, he’s a freelance racer. His former teammate Ruben Cervantes, now the owner of a struggling Formula One team on the brink of collapse, offers him a chance to return for one final shot at greatness, with an aim to save the team and reclaim his position as the best in the world. He’ll share the track with Joshua Pearce, a promising rookie eager to establish his own speed. However, as the engines ignite, Sonny’s past catches up, reminding him that in Formula One, your teammate is also your toughest competitor. The journey to redemption, it seems, is not a solitary one.
