For those unfamiliar, Netflix has decided to phase out its interactive specials and instead concentrate fully on mobile and cloud gaming. In the near future, they will unveil a new redesign of their platform. This change was first reported by The Verge in November 2024. Chrissy Kelleher, a spokesperson for Netflix, explained this shift by saying, “The technology behind interactive specials has served its purpose, but now we’re focusing our technological efforts on other areas.

The revamped design for this product will soon be accessible across various devices, following initial testing conducted last year. Originally intended for a worldwide release towards the end of 2024, the updated user interface was met with unexpectedly negative feedback upon its launch, as reported by What’s on Netflix.
