The production team for Jailer 2, featuring Rajinikanth as the main character, is now filming the movie after completing a shooting schedule in Kerala. It’s been reported that Nandamuri Balakrishna will receive an impressive fee of around Rs 50 crores for his role in the film.

Based on recent reports, it’s said that NBK has requested a substantial pay from the film production company, which they have agreed to. Given that filming is currently in progress, the award-winning actor, Valai Pechu, has scheduled 20 days for the shoot. At this point, however, these details are still unconfirmed by official sources.

Regarding the upcoming movie titled “Jailer 2”, it serves as a follow-up to the 2023 hit production, simply known as “Jailer”. The film revolves around the narrative of “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian, a former prison warden who seeks retribution against those believed to have killed his son.

In the main character, portrayed by Rajinikanth, the film boasted a talented group of supporting actors such as Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vasanth Ravi, among others, playing pivotal roles. Furthermore, notable cameos were made by Shiva Rajkumar, Mohanlal, and Jackie Shroff in the movie.

In the next chapter, the movie will delve into a new narrative set within Muthuvel Pandian’s universe, with Fahadh Faasil, SJ Suryah, and possibly others joining the cast. Aside from NBK, there is a strong possibility that Shiva Rajkumar and Mohanlal will return to their previous roles.

Notably, director Nelson Dilipkumar recently paid a visit to Mohanlal on the set of Hridayapoorvam, where he shared the film’s storyline. In turn, the creators of this Malayalam movie also released a behind-the-scenes video from the production.

On the professional side of Nandamuri Balakrishna, his latest appearance was in the movie “Daaku Maharaaj,” which was helmed by director Bobby Kolli. This action-packed production turned out to be a box office sensation and can now be enjoyed at home through Netflix streaming.

Moreover, the actor will next be appearing in the sequel to Akhanda, titled Akhanda 2: Thandavam.

Contrarily, Rajinikanth is set to grace the silver screen with the film “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and scheduled for release on August 14, 2025.
