During the Dead By Daylight Year 9 anniversary livestream, there was an incredible amount of exciting announcements. Among them, we learned about Springtrap as the FNAF killer and unveiled several skins inspired by The Witcher 3. Furthermore, Behaviour Inc. dropped subtle hints that seem to indicate the imminent addition of two survivors from The Walking Dead in Dead By Daylight.

Dead By Daylight anniversary stream hints at The Walking Dead survivors

During a Dead By Daylight Year 9 anniversary live stream, it was announced that two licensed survivors will be joining the game in July 2025. Behavior Interactive did not reveal who these characters are, but Mathieu Cote mentioned that clues were given during the broadcast.

Based on the frequent insights of dveet, it appears that we might be welcoming characters like Rick Grimes and Michonne. This assumption arises from the Year 10 roadmap, which contains letters that seem to form a phrase when put together. This phrase, “The Ones Who Live”, is significant because it’s the title of The Walking Dead spinoff featuring Rick and Michonne. For those unaware, “The Ones Who Live” is the name of the series starring these characters.


While nothing’s been confirmed yet, there are strong indications suggesting that “The Walking Dead” could be coming to “Dead by Daylight.” A leak from 2024, who accurately predicted the Lara Croft collaboration, mentioned a potential collaboration with “The Walking Dead,” which is another piece of evidence supporting its arrival.
