Gretchen Wilson made it clear to Us Weekly how significant the experience was for her, as she put it, “It truly mattered, there’s no denying that. It was tough, demanding. It was a heavy load, it required a lot of effort.” She went on to explain, “It involved a lot of standing, a lot of dance moves and choreography. I must admit, I’m not exactly known for my dancing skills!” The musician then pointed out the accident that caused a leg injury, which happened six months before the filming of her reality TV show began, leaving her in a wheelchair.

Wilson shared, “I sustained an injury to my left leg which required me to use a wheelchair and wear a cast for eight months.” Yet, she persisted, sharing her thoughts, “That period was incredibly daunting for me. I wondered if I could manage in boots, navigate stairs with added weight, and perform small dance steps. It seemed insignificant but it was quite tough for me… Each day’s end found me thinking, ‘I survived another day, I can keep going.’ After a few days on set, I realized, ‘I’m giving this my all!’
