The upcoming film titled “Padakkalam,” featuring Suraj Venjaramoodu and Sharaf U Dheen, is set to hit theaters on May 8, 2025. Prior to its release, the movie has been certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), with additional details now made available.
On May 6, 2025, the Film Certification Board awarded the movie a U rating. The storyline revolves around Ranjith, a teacher, who manipulates another educator named Shaji through a game of Ludo.
With Shaji about to become Head of Department at the college, Ranjith employs mystical abilities to thwart the appointment. However, a student named Jithin and his circle of humor-loving companions expose this secret. This revelation prompts Ranjith to retaliate against them too.
How their adventure unfolds and reaches its conclusion forms the crux of the movie.
The movie titled Padakkalam spans a duration of around 2 hours and 4 minutes (124.31 minutes in total). Starring Suraj and Sharaf U Dheen as the main characters, it boasts an extensive cast that includes Sandeep Pradeep, Niranjana Anoop, Saaf Boi, Pooja Mohanraj, Arun Pradeep, Ishan Shoukath, Vijay Babu, and others in crucial roles.
This movie is helmed by Manu Swaraj, and jointly produced by Vijay Babu under the Friday Film House label. The film showcases music tracks and a score created by renowned composer Rajesh Murugesan (known for Premam), while Anu Moothedath takes care of the cinematography, and Nidhin Raj Arol is responsible for editing.
