On the command of Commander Bell, Janine was granted immunity due to an unhealthy fascination that had grown in him towards her. Subsequently, she became his personal attendant.

In essence, Janine found herself stuck in a dismal predicament. Earlier, whenever Bell appeared at Jezebel, he would treat Janine as his personal sexual servant. Yet, she had several chances to break free from him, such as when Commander Lawrence infrequently arrived or during times when Bell was occupied with other matters.
