Chris Pine to Star in and Produce Action Movie Run the Night

Actor Chris Pine is slated to both star in and produce an upcoming action film called “Run the Night,” as reported by Lionsgate.

What do we know about Run the Night?

As stated by Lionsgate upon purchasing global distribution rights for the upcoming film, the plot revolves around a banker falsely accused of betraying the Dutch underworld. To clear his name and protect his spouse and offspring, he embarks on an urban odyssey.

Robert Alonzo, a highly esteemed second unit director in the Hollywood film industry, is set to make his feature directorial debut with the movie “Run the Night”. Todd Lieberman from Hidden Pictures will co-produce alongside Alex Young, president of Hidden Pictures. Additionally, Chris Pine and Ian Gotler, under their production banner Barry Linen, as well as John Glenn, are also involved in the project.

In his statement, Adam Fogelson, head of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, praised Chris as a phenomenal actor, possessing just the right blend of warmth and power that will breathe life into the role. In the movie’s summary, a banker, who allegedly betrayed the Dutch underworld known as the Penose, is left stripped bare in the center of Amsterdam, carrying a $10 million price tag on his person. Pursued by the city’s deadliest criminal organizations, he embarks on a life-or-death journey across the city before sunrise to protect his spouse and offspring. However, it is revealed that this banker was not only about money; he also had a hidden depth, as the story unfolds.

2023 saw Pine taking on three significant roles: he voiced King Magnifico in the movie “Wish,” portrayed Poolman, and starred in the film adaptation of “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
