F1 Runtime Revealed for Brad Pitt Racing Movie

The main runtime of the F1 series has now revealed its official debut for Warner Bros.’ eagerly awaited sports-focused drama starring Academy Award winner Brad Pitt. In this upcoming film, Pitt assumes the role of a former Formula One racer who is given another opportunity to rejoin the sport after retiring.

Known as ‘the greatest who never became one,’ Sonny Hayes was considered Formula One’s most talented rising star of the 1990s. However, a tragic accident on the track almost ended his career. Now, thirty years later, he’s a freelance racer when he is approached by Ruben Cervantes, his former teammate who now owns a struggling Formula One team teetering on the brink of collapse.

Cervantes manages to persuade Sonny to return to Formula One for one final attempt at saving the team and achieving world-class status. He’ll race alongside Joshua Pearce, the team’s promising rookie who is determined to set his own pace. But as they hit the track, Sonny finds that in Formula One, your teammate can be your fiercest rival — and the path to redemption isn’t a journey you can make alone.

What is the F1 runtime?

According to AMC Theatres, the film F1 is set to run for a total duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes (or 150 minutes). This movie is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2025, which puts it in direct competition with Blumhouse’s M3GAN 2.0 at the box office. Furthermore, F1 will be released alongside several other notable films in June, including From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, The Life of Chuck, How to Train Your Dragon, Materialists, and 28 Years Later.

In this movie, Damson Idris portrays Joshua Pearce, while Kerry Condon takes on the role of Kate. Tobias Menzies plays Banning, Javier Bardem is Ruben, Kim Bodnia becomes Kaspar, Shea Whigham is Chip, and Sarah Niles assumes Bernadette. Additionally, real-life Formula One racers such as Lewis Hamilton (the producer), Carlos Sainz Jr., and others will join the cast. The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who also directed Top Gun: Maverick, with a screenplay penned by Ehren Kruger. Alongside Kosinski, Jerry Bruckheimer, Hamilton, Jeremy Kleiner, Dede Gardner, and Chad Omen are producing this project. Daniel Lupi serves as an executive producer.
