Blue Harbor Entertainment has secured the rights for an upcoming horror-thriller film titled “The Sound“. This venture is spearheaded by Brendan Devane, the director of “The Canyonlands”, who is not only directing but also writing and producing this new project.
In the movie, a team of elite rock climbers are given permission to scale the enigmatic cliff known as The Forbidden Wall, which has been off-limits for over 40 years. Among the climbers is Sean, whose grandfather unsuccessfully tried to climb it 63 years ago. As they ascend, they encounter a malevolent entity that transforms their climb into a terrifying struggle for survival high above the earth.
When is The Sound release date?
After acquiring the rights, Blue Harbor Entertainment announced that the release of Devane’s rock-climbing horror film under The Sound label will happen on June 27th. This date marks both the movie’s premiere in cinemas and its availability for digital viewing.
Devane expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Blue Harbor, acknowledging that they all are striving to maneuver through the complexities of the independent film industry. He noted that the conventional distribution model needs transformation and improvement to cater to the numerous gifted filmmakers seeking visibility for their projects. Devane appreciated Blue Harbor’s commitment to prioritizing the requirements of each project, making them filmmaker-friendly, and leveraging their extensive experience and expertise in the distribution sector. After careful consideration, Blue Harbor Entertainment was found to be an ideal match and a straightforward choice for collaboration. Devane is privileged to partner with them to share the pulse-pounding rock climbing action/horror movie The Sound with audiences.
This film features Marc Hills, Rachel Finninger, Nicholas Baroudi, Jocelyn Hudon, William Fitchtner, Christina Kirkman, Jolene Kay, David Clennon, Hazel Findlay, Brette Harrington, Adrian Ballinger, and Alex Honnold as its main actors. In addition to Brendan Devane, the creative team comprises directors of photography Ryan Galvan and Brett Lowell, as well as editor Alex Russek. The film is overseen by James Devane from Sadielands Productions as an executive producer.
Blue Harbor expressed, “We’re avid supporters of Brendan’s work on The Sound. His focus on detail and dedication to realism results in an exceptional visual and atmospheric experience for his film. Our preferred genres are those where these aspects significantly contribute, along with the characters and plot. We can hardly wait to make viewers’ hands clammy with anticipation.
