Presently, Phyllis is exhibiting symptoms associated with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), particularly when she encounters anything that triggers memories of her harrowing captivity experience. Consequently, this has affected her ability to focus, which ultimately resulted in Billy deciding to let her go from Abbott Communications. Simultaneously, Daniel, seeking solitude, began to distance himself from his mother. This action caused Phyllis to have a panic attack in the middle of a park when she felt overwhelmed by the situation.
