In response to an interview where his daughter, Airyn, publicly announced her identity as transgender, Robert De Niro has released a heartfelt declaration, affirming his unwavering love and backing for her.

What did De Niro say about his daughter?

According to a statement given to Deadline, De Niro expressed that he’s always cherished Airyn – initially as a son, but presently as a daughter. To him, the entire fuss surrounding this matter seems unnecessary.

I’ve cared for Aaron as my son, and now I care for Airyn as my daughter. To me, it’s not a matter of fuss… I cherish every one of my kids,” De Niro expressed.

After Airyn, the offspring of actors Robert De Niro and Toukie Smith (a model and actress), spoke openly about their transition in an interview with Them magazine, they explained that they felt compelled to reveal themselves publicly following years of incorrect media portrayals.

Airyn explained, “It’s one thing to be noticeable and another to be truly understood. So far, I’ve managed to catch people’s attention, but I believe that I haven’t been fully comprehended or truly ‘seen’ yet.

In addition, De Niro mentioned a brief discussion about her parents’ influence during her childhood. Although she acknowledged they were far from perfect, she expressed gratitude for their decision to shield her from the spotlight as often as feasible.
