Following our chat, head down to Arvena’s basement for an inspection. There, you’ll encounter a Hungry Mountain Lion. This beast will immediately attempt to attack you. Your goal should be to eliminate it swiftly because if the lion manages to wipe out all the rats in the basement, your quest will come to an end!

After learning the details, head back to Arvena and share the news about the mountain lion with her. She might be startled but will advise you to connect with Pinarius Inventius, a skilled hunter. You’ll find him residing just south of Arvena, so all you need to do is cross the road to meet him.

First, make sure you’re battle-ready, then discuss the mountain lions with Pinarius. Following this conversation, we’ll move towards the town’s edge with him. You’ll be assisting Pinarius in defeating and eliminating 4 of these mountain lions. Keep your guard up! Once completed, make your way back to Arvena at her residence.

Upon your return home, have a conversation with Arvena about your discoveries. Unfortunately, you didn’t manage to capture all the mountain lions. In fact, another one is currently residing in her basement. Go back down there and eliminate this creature before it consumes all the rats.

After claiming the life of your fifth mountain lion in fulfillment of the quest, make your way back to Arvena once more. This time, she may grow suspicious that Quill-Weave, a neighboring resident, is behind these persistent mountain lion incidents.

Following our discussion at Arvena’s residence, find a nearby hiding spot and wait until 8 PM. At that time, keep an eye out for Quill-Weave, a red Argonian, who is known to roam around Arvena’s house. Approach her about the rat issue, and she may reveal her attempts to eliminate the rats. Unfortunately, it appears she intended to drive them away rather than attract mountain lions unintentionally…

Remember that Quill-Weave occasionally visits Chorrol. If you can’t locate her in Anvil, allow an extra 36 hours for her journey before searching again. This isn’t a glitch, unlike the case with Savlian Matius.
